Transparent and inclusive synthetic speech

Transparent and inclusive synthetic speech

We study a new form of AI-based speech that expresses uncertainty and supports trustworthy, user-centered voice interfaces.

However, AI does not have to sound human, and we study how to make speech synthesis sound artificial so that communication between AI and humans remains trustworthy without losing its effectiveness.
